While I haven't done extensive research on Jewish or Muslim representation in Western cinema, nor can I speak for communities I'm not a part of, I believe marginalized people should have the opportunities to portray themselves! For each community, what they view as offensive may differ.
In specific regards to trans roles, casting men in the roles of trans women puts across the idea that trans women are ""really"" men, and may lead to real life violence against them; same for trans men being portrayed by female actors. Plenty of trans actors exist, the problem is they're often not given chances to portray themselves in film because cisgender A-list actors accept the roles instead.
